frigilianense Sergio Urdiales The karateka has been declared runner-up in Andalusia kumite Andalucía XXVI Championship Karate Absolute , repeating the already got the title last year. This sporting event, held on Saturday 12 February in the town of Alhama of Granada, was the confrontation of all provincial teams and with the participation of over 200 competitors.
Sergio, who belongs to Frigiliana Shotokan club, returned to the podium to get also the runner-up in mixed team kumite with Sandra Vasquez, Nerja, representing the selection of Malaga.
The results of athletes Axarquía Karate Association (AKA) who attended the championships are more than outstanding and they all got trophies. Besides those already mentioned, AKA kata got the runner by teams, Eva Ortigosa (PD Torrox) was runner-up at 55 kg kumite, Jessica Rodriguez and Sandra Vazquez (both Nerja Gym) won third place in kumite two separate 61 and 68 kg respectively.
